Community Development Learning initiative (CDLi) was established as an independent, locally managed organisation in April 2001. CDLi firmly believes and trusts in the power of ‘ordinary’ people to make creative change both within themselves and within their own communities.
CDLi expresses trust and belief through its provision of quality supportive capacity/competence building programmes within the community development sector in the North West. We respond to needs as identified and articulated by community groups, and we programme accordingly. We offer both accredited and non-accredited learning programmes to community activists whether paid or voluntary. We progress our work within the wider context of peacebuilding and are committed to developing a mutually respectful and shared future in Derry/Londonderry, in Northern Ireland, and across the whole island of Ireland. Increasing participation in our programmes underlines the exciting cultural diversity within our city.
