Initially we were housed in the local social services office in the Shantallow area, but in 1989 we joined forces with Holywell Trust to share office space in a Shipquay Street building that provided us with a city centre office that was accessible to all sides of the community. We have continued to share office based accommodation with Holywell Trust to this very day, benefiting from the association and expertise that this arrangement presents.
Over the years we have developed and diversified and currently provide services to young people aged 8 – 17 years who are perceived to be “in need” as identified by the local Health Service Trusts in the Derry City, Limavady, Strabane, Omagh and Enniskillen areas. It is from this source that we receive our primary funding. The range of young people that we provide support services to covers a wide spectrum of religious and cultural backgrounds. All our staff are currently being trained to meet the challenge that this undoubtly brings to our work and are currently undergoing training entitled “working in a divided society”.
Roscor Youth Village
Overall we deliver services to 130 young people each day from all sides of the community and use our own residential youth village on the shores of Lough Erne to facilitate weekend and midweek experiences for these young people on an ongoing basis.
Roscor Youth Village is the hub of all our work in the Western region, and apart from providing a social and residential youth village of excellence, it also acts as a uniting factor for the diverse range of services and teams we have developed throughout the west.

We are also aiming to build on our strategies of work with young people and their families / carers and to enhance our evidence based approach to this work.
We are looking forward in the future to further strengthening our working relationship with Holywell Trust and the plethora of additional community groupings who will be joining us in the development of our proposed new building, which will replace the current office dwelling on Bishop Street.
