Our Agreement

The Walled City Community Partnership Members originally signed up to a Memorandum of Understanding in 2007. Within this agreement each organisation agreed to:
  • Be part of a bid to the Modernisation Fund for the modernisation of the buildings and not be involved with competing bids to the same fund.
  • Be located in and pay rent in building
  • To share services – including administration & finances
  • To jointly manage the building
  • To commit to partnership working
  • To develop an innovative collaborative culture
  • To treat all aspects of the process in confidence

To be a member of the Steering Group that will:
  • Manage Modernisation Fund Bid
  • Manage building renovations if successful
  • Manage new building on completion
In addition to the above agreement, following discussion, the Partnership members also agreed to:
  • To honour friendships and consideration.
  • To hold difficult conversations in a respectful manner.
  • To share space, resources, ideas, information, activities and enjoyment – to create a wealth beyond commercial economic values…beyond jewels.
  • The process brings additional refreshment, inspiration and excitement to our own work.
  • To model the type of society in which we want to live:
  • Anti-sectarian
  • Celebrate difference – each is treated with respect
  • Practice equality and justice
  • Promote positive health and emotional well being
